Matt Fritz-Mauer joined the firm in August 2019. Admitted in Colorado and Washington, D.C., Matt's practice consists of full-scale union representation and wage theft class actions. Prior to joining Kelman Buescher, Matt was a judicial law clerk for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Matt graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. In law school, he was a Staff Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review, and also coordinated the school's Wage Theft Clinic, which focused on recovering unpaid wages for low-wage workers. Matt also earned a Ph.D. from the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at UC Irvine. His research, writing, and advocacy focuses on wage theft among low-wage workers, and what can be done to create effective solutions to this widespread problem.
In his free time, Matt enjoys fostering dogs, reading science fiction, playing elaborate board games, and camping.
